Good People,
Time Change, this Sunday
Don't forget to move your clocks ahead one hour when you go to sleep this Saturday. Day Light Savings Time starts this Sunday ("Spring forward, Fall back"). We all lose an hour's sleep so you will have to get to Church, in essence, one hour earlier.

We have a new Altar!
Fr. Don has done it. We finally have a real Altar after four and one half years. Thank you, Fr. Don, for creating this wonderful piece of workmanship. This almost finishes the renovation of the Church. We still need a Tabernacle and a Sanctuary Lamp. Then we will set a date for a big celebration and invite the world to see our renovated Church, dedicated to the Glory of God!
Support our Troops Program
I thank all of you that are taking part in the Support our Troops Program, in particular the 158 man Headquarters Company of the 4-23 Infantry Battalion now serving in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan. I received an email from my grandson, Kris, who is a member of that unit; I had not heard from him for three weeks. "Our guys just got back from the Marjah mission. The operation went well." In talking about sending packages to the individual soldiers in this unit, he says: "The quickest I've seen something arrive is about ten days after shipping. Though it can take about three weeks on the opposite end. That being said, I would tell your people not to send anything after mid-May. We will be packing up everything and moving to Kandahar and eventually Kuwait then home."
If any of you still would like to sponsor a soldier, let me know as I have a few names from one of our Deanery Churches that have not been taken. Remember to pray every day for your soldiers.
Wednesday Evenings in Lent
Twenty-two of us gathered last Wednesday night for Evening Prayer, potluck then a outstanding presentation by Russ Scott on "The Road to Salvation." This Wednesday evening, Fr. Don Sackett will be giving the presentation on "Union with Christ through Holy Communion." Our theme for this Lent is "Sanctification through walking the Way." The program starts at 6:00 p.m.
Stations of the Cross with Evening Prayer, every Friday in Lent beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Sign up for the Seder Supper at Church this Sunday and the next two Sundays
Jan Scott & Marlene Loomis are presenting us with a genuine Jewish Passover Sedar Supper on Holy Wednesday, March 31, and they need to know how many are coming. Sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall.
I look forward to being with you for Bible Study and Holy Communion, this Sunday.
Fr. John
Keep Alma Lambert in your prayers this coming week as she will be undergoing some serious surgery.
